Description
A vintage, partially filled cardboard box containing 50 live rounds of Western brand .30 Mauser (7.63 m/m) ammunition. The worn, yellow and blue labeled box, likely mid-20th century, specifies 50 rounds of 86 grain full metal case Lubaloy bullets with non-corrosive smokeless powder, manufactured by Western Cartridge Company of East Alton, Illinois, U.S.A. Visible text includes “REG U.S. PAT OFF” and “MARCA REGISTRADA”. The box contains fifty brass-cased cartridges with copper-colored bullets. Most rounds appear unfired, featuring “WESTERN 30 MAUSER” headstamps and varying primer sealants (red or black).
Condition report:
The cardboard box is in poor condition, displaying significant creasing, tears, fraying, and discoloration, especially on the flaps. The label is worn. The cartridges show minor tarnish or patina consistent with age; most appear unfired.
