Vintage Winchester .32 Smith & Wesson Solid Head Central Fire Cartridges, 50 Rounds in Original Box
Description
A vintage box of Winchester .32 Smith & Wesson Solid Head Central Fire cartridges, containing 50 rounds. The cardboard box, manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, Conn., U. S. A., is primarily orange-red and yellow with black printing. It is labeled “50 CARTRIDGES” of “.32 CALIBER. Central Fire. Winchester Smokeless. Smith & Wesson Solid Head.” and states it was “Expressly for Smith & Wesson New No. 32 Cal. Central Fire Revolver.” A silhouette of a revolver is printed on the lid. Side panels further specify “.32-S. & W.” and “S&W SMOKELESS,” featuring an illustration of a bullet. Inside, the box holds 50 brass-cased cartridges with visible “WRA Co .32 S&W” headstamps and lead projectiles.
Condition report:
The cardboard box shows significant wear consistent with age, including discoloration, fading, creasing, tearing, and surface abrasion. The cartridges exhibit tarnishing on the brass and a greyish patina on the lead projectiles.
