Description
A Colt MK IV Series 70 Government Model .45 Automatic Caliber semi-automatic pistol, featuring a blued steel finish. The slide is marked “COLT’S MK IV/SERIES ’70 GOVERNMENT MODEL .45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER” and includes the rampant Colt logo. The frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and bears the serial number “22736B70.” The visible barrel section is marked “COLT .45 AUTO MK IV/SERIES ’70.” The pistol is currently fitted with checkered black synthetic grips, and an additional pair of smooth, off-white grips is included. It is accompanied by a single magazine, its original brown cardboard Colt factory box, and a Colt Instruction Manual copyrighted 1978. The box label corroborates the model, 5-inch barrel length, .45 caliber, “1970” model designation, and serial number.
