Description
A Remington Model 1889 SXS Hammer Shotgun, chambered in 10 Gauge with a 32″ barrel. This vintage or antique firearm features a dark-stained wooden stock and forend, complemented by metal barrels, receiver, and firing mechanisms. The receiver flats are marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO.”, and the serial number “264096” is stamped on the underside of the barrels near the hinge. The buttplate, crafted from a hard material, displays a molded “R & A” emblem enclosed within a shield design.
Condition report:
Fair to Good condition commensurate with age and use. The wooden components exhibit extensive surface wear, numerous scratches, dings, and a notable crack on the wrist of the stock. The metal parts show significant wear, loss of original finish, and a generalized patina consistent with age and long-term use. Firing mechanisms appear complete, but functionality is untested and not guaranteed. Bore condition is unknown.
