Lot 1113:
Description
This is an antique open-frame pinfire revolver, consistent with mid-to-late 19th-century European (Lefaucheux-type) design. It is constructed primarily of metal, with the frame and trigger guard featuring decorative scroll engraving. The dark grip panels, likely hard rubber or wood, display a textured, possibly basket-weave, pattern and an oval medallion on each side with an intertwined ‘EL’ or ‘LE’ monogram. A lanyard ring is present at the base of the grip.
Condition report:
Overall condition appears fair, showing considerable age and use. The metal exhibits a worn, silvery-grey finish with visible surface scratches and areas of pitting and corrosion throughout.
