Description
An antique Whitneyville Armory Model No. 1 .22 RF Spur Trigger Revolver. This compact, antique-style revolver features a brass frame, a dark patinated octagonal steel barrel, and a five-shot fluted steel cylinder. It is fitted with two-piece polished wooden grip panels secured by a screw. The left side of the barrel is clearly marked ‘WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. U.S.A.’, and the brass butt of the grip frame is stamped with the numerical marking ‘14818’. The revolver exhibits a spur trigger, an exposed hammer, and a loading rammer is present beneath the barrel.
Condition report:
The revolver exhibits significant age and use. The brass frame shows a deep, uneven patina. Steel components, including the barrel and cylinder, have extensive bluing loss and surface wear. The wooden grips show numerous nicks, scratches, and wear spots consistent with age and handling.
