Description
A Colt Police Positive Special double-action revolver, chambered in .32-20 W.C.F. This blued steel revolver features a long barrel and a fluted cylinder. The barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A.MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” with patent dates of August 5, 1884, June 5, 1900, and July 4, 1905, indicating production post-1905. The left side of the frame bears the Colt rearing horse logo. It is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips, each marked “COLT” within an oval at the top. The serial number “361807” is visible on the crane and frame.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows significant wear, thinning, and areas of surface oxidation and patina across the barrel, frame, and cylinder. The checkered hard rubber grips exhibit minor scuffing and wear consistent with age and use.
