Description
A Remington-Elliot .32 Rimfire Four-Barrel Ring Trigger Pepperbox Pistol, constructed from dark, heavily patinated steel or iron. The left side of the barrel/frame is engraved “MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y.”, and the right side “ELLIOT’S PATENTS, MAY 29, 1860, OCT. 1, 1861”. The serial or assembly number “6024” is visible within the breach. The pistol features a compact, four-barreled design, a distinctive ring-style trigger, and two-piece wooden grips secured by a single screw.
Condition report:
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. Metal components exhibit widespread surface rust and heavy, dark patina. The wooden grips show signs of handling wear, discoloration, and minor abrasions. Mechanical functionality is not guaranteed and has not been tested.
