Winchester Model 12 Pump-Action Shotgun, 12 Gauge, 28" Barrel
Description
A vintage Winchester Model 12 pump-action shotgun, featuring a 28″ barrel and coming with one modified choke and one unknown. Constructed with a blued nickel steel barrel and receiver, complemented by a varnished wooden buttstock and a ribbed wooden forend. The barrel is clearly marked “MADE IN U.S.A. NICKEL STEEL — WINCHESTER — MODEL 12-12 GA. FULL” and displays numerous patent dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The matching serial number “617433” is visible on both the barrel and receiver. An attached cylindrical accessory below the receiver is marked “FOR STEEL MODIFIED,” identifying it as a choke tube designed for steel shot with a Modified constriction. The buttplate is black and checkered, featuring the “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.” logo.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. Moderate bluing loss is evident on metal components, particularly on the receiver and barrel. The wooden buttstock and ribbed forend show minor scratches and finish wear consistent with age and use. The buttplate shows some wear to the checkering and logo.
