Description

A collection of vintage .270 Winchester center fire rifle cartridges by Western Super-X and Peters. This lot comprises 60 ROUNDS housed in three vintage cardboard boxes. Two boxes are branded “Western Super-X,” one specifying 100 grain Lubaloy soft point bullets and the other 150 grain Lubaloy soft point bullets, both marked “Non-Corrosive Priming” and “Smokeless Powder.” The third box, “Peters High Velocity,” indicates 100 grain pointed soft point bullets and features the “DuPont” logo. Each box is designed to hold 20 cartridges. An open Peters box reveals 20 brass-cased cartridges with copper-jacketed bullets, showing various headstamps including “PETERS 270 WIN” and “W-W SUPER 270 WIN.” Two additional loose cartridges, identical in type, display heavier tarnishing and patina. All visible text is in English.

Condition report:

Characteristic wear, including creasing, surface abrasions, and some minor tears, is present on all boxes. The top Western box is partially wrapped in clear plastic. The cartridges within the open box appear generally good, with some showing minor tarnishing. The two loose cartridges exhibit heavier tarnishing and patina.
