Description
A vintage cardboard box of Remington Kleanbore .38 Automatic ammunition, containing 44 live metallic cartridges. The box, primarily in green and red with off-white areas, is visibly marked with “Remington,” “Kleanbore,” “.38 AUTOMATIC,” “130 GRAIN METAL CASE BULLET,” “50 CENTER FIRE SMOKELESS CARTRIDGES,” “DU PONT,” “1438,” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” Further text on the packaging identifies the manufacturer as “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY • INCORPORATED” with locations in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Ilion, New York. The packaging also highlights “NON-CORROSIVE PRIMING” and includes “Marca Reg. Marque Deposée” indicating registered trademarks. The individual cartridges inside bear “U.M.C. 38 AUTO” headstamps and are full metal jacket.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging is in poor condition, exhibiting extensive fading, discoloration, creasing, and numerous tears and abrasions consistent with significant age and wear. The contained metallic cartridges appear in fair to good condition, showing some tarnish but no heavy corrosion.
