Vintage Western Super-X .257 Roberts Ammunition, Full Box of 20 Mixed Headstamp Rounds
Description
A vintage full cardboard box of Western Super-X .257 Roberts center fire rifle cartridges, containing 20 rounds with mixed headstamps. The packaging, presented in a mid-20th century style, features a distinctive blue and yellow design with red and black text. It identifies the manufacturer as Western Cartridge Company, a Division of Olin Industries, Inc., East Alton, Ill., U. S. A. Visible markings on the box detail the ammunition specifications as 117 grain soft point Lubaloy bullets with non-corrosive priming and smokeless powder. The box also features “MARCA REGISTRADA”. The individual cartridges are made of brass and visibly bear “W-W 257 ROBERTS” headstamps.
Condition report:
The exterior cardboard box exhibits considerable age-related wear, including surface scuffs, fading, dust, and minor creasing along edges. The internal cardboard tray and the cartridges themselves appear to be in good, unused condition, with the brass casings showing a natural patina.
