Description
A Savage Model 24V-A over-under combination gun, featuring blued metal barrels and receiver. The firearm is chambered for .222 Remington in the upper barrel and 20 gauge with a 3-inch chamber in the lower barrel. The receiver is marked “SAVAGE 24V-A” and displays engraved hunting scenes, depicting a flying bird on one side and a running fox-like animal on the other. The barrels are marked “SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A.”, “PROOF TESTED CAL. 222 REM.”, and “PROOF TESTED 20 GAUGE 3 INCH CHAMBER”. The serial number “25919” is present on the receiver. It is fitted with a polished wooden stock and forend, both featuring checkered grip and forend sections, and a black rubber buttplate with a gold-toned spacer. Included is a clear plastic bag containing a small metal part with a spring, labeled “SAVAGE 222 EXTRACTOR”.
Condition report:
Good, used condition. Visible scuffs and minor finish wear are present on both the wood and metal components consistent with age and use.
