High Standard Model H-D Military .22 LR Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box and Holster
Description
A High Standard Model H-D Military .22 LR semi-automatic pistol, primarily constructed of blued steel with checkered wood grips. The pistol’s slide is marked “HI-STANDARD MODEL H-D MILITARY”, and the barrel is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. PATENT PENDING .22 CAL. LONG RIFLE”. The serial number “P 24655 T” is visible on the frame. Accompanying the pistol is a non matching maroon cardboard box, which bears the legend “HI-STANDARD AUTOLOADING PISTOL THE HIGH STANDARD MANUFACTURING CORPORATION, HAMDEN, CONN.” and a label identifying it as a “SUPERMATIC CITATION 5 1/2″ MILITARY MODEL (Cat. No. 9242) .22 CAL.” Also included are a brown leather holster with a “2181” stamp on its reverse.
Condition report:
The pistol exhibits moderate wear, including areas of finish loss and scuffs on the blued surfaces. The wood grips remain in good condition with minor handling marks. Both the brown leather holster and the maroon cardboard box show significant wear, fading, and creasing, consistent with age and storage.
