A Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle. This classic American late 19th to early 20th-century design features a dark-stained wooden stock and fore-end, complemented by steel metal components. The barrel is marked “MANUFACTUREED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14. 1884.” and “32 W.C.F.”, indicating .32 Winchester Center Fire caliber, along with a Winchester proof mark. The receiver is marked “MODEL 1892 -WINCHESTER-“, and the serial number “454498” is present on the tang.
Condition report:
The rifle is in well-used condition. The metal components exhibit significant bluing loss, surface patina, and minor pitting. The wooden stock and fore-end display numerous scratches, dings, and some finish wear, though the wood appears structurally sound.
