Description
This lever-action rifle, manufactured by Armi Sport Italy for Cimarron Repeating Arms Co., is styled after the Model 1892. The rifle features a polished reddish-brown wood stock and forend, complemented by a vibrantly case-hardened steel receiver exhibiting blue, purple, and gold mottling. The barrel and magazine tube are crafted from deep blued steel. The barrel is marked “45 COLT” for caliber and “MANUFACTURED FOR Cimarron Repeating Arms Co., FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS, USA. PAT. OCTOBER 14 1884.” The manufacturer, “Armi Sport Italy,” is also visible on the barrel. The tang is marked “Model 1892.” The receiver bears proof marks including “BN,” “PN,” and a serial number “18.01.900,” alongside a date stamp “78.”
