A Colt MK IV Series 70 Government Model .45 Automatic Pistol, crafted from blued steel with checkered wooden grips, each featuring a gold-colored Colt rampant horse medallion. The left side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBER .45,” while the right side reads “COLTS P.T. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” The serial number “273835-S” is present on the frame, and “NM 7790429 COLTS P.T.F.A. MFG. CO.” is visible internally. Accompanying the pistol is its original, worn wood-grain cardboard box, featuring a yellow label marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL 45 AUTOMATIC PISTOL, 45 AUTO, 5 INCH BBL., COLT BLUE,” alongside a period “COLT AUTOMATIC PISTOL” instruction manual and a “WARRANTY” card.
