A vintage cardboard box by Western Cartridge Company, East Alton, Illinois, U.S.A., originally for twenty .30 Newton Central Fire rifle cartridges. This lot comprises 8 rounds from the original twenty. The green and brown packaging is labeled with “20 .30 NEWTON CENTRAL FIRE CARTRIDGES”, “Western” branding with a diamond logo, “LUBALOY”, “SMOKELESS POWDER”, and details such as “180 GR. OPEN POINT EXPANDING METAL PATCHED” and “BOAT-TAIL” bullets, specified as “ADAPTED TO .30 NEWTON RIFLE”. The cartridges feature brass casings with “WESTERN .30 NEWTON” headstamps and copper-tipped projectiles.
Condition report:
