A Collectible Hammer Brand New York Knife Co. USA Bowie Knife with Sheath
Description
A Bowie-style knife by New York Knife Co. USA, featuring their ‘Hammer Brand’ mark. It presents with a polished metal clip-point blade, an S-shaped brass-toned guard, and a dark, possibly horn, handle secured by two brass pins. The blade is clearly marked with “Hammer Brand” in a decorative script accompanied by a hand-and-hammer logo, and additionally “NEW YORK KNIFE CO. USA”. It is accompanied by a fitted black leather sheath, similarly embossed with “Hammer Brand” and its logo, which features a brass-toned snap closure.
Condition report:
The blade exhibits numerous surface scratches and scuffs. The brass-toned guard shows signs of patination. The handle and fitted leather sheath appear to be in good, used condition with minor wear consistent with handling.
